Attendance

Attendance

It is very important that children attend school regularly. We are required to keep and monitor records of attendance, absence and lateness. Wherever possible, medical appointments should be made outside of the school day.

Regular attendance at school means that your child can make the most of their education, settle in at school and make and develop friendships.

In particular, it is important that you don’t take holidays in term time as it disrupts your child’s learning.

Attendance also includes late arrivals or early departures.  These all have a significant effect on your child's learning and how they settle into class and understand what is happening in lessons every day.

School starts at 8.55am.  Children can be brought in to school from 8.40am.

For more information please see our attendance policy

  • Request for Leave of Absence should be made in advance and before any arrangements confirmed or money committed.
  • If Leave of Absence is granted, please contact school to discuss measures to minimise the impact of the absence on your child's academic progress
